Sixth Anniversary: Today I celebrate my sixth anniversary of ordination to the priesthood and thus I would like to share with you a bit about my journey. It all began in April 14, 1970 when I was born and continue with my baptismal celebration on July 6, 1970. After High School graduation in 1989, I entered the seminary in Colombia and after one year of studies and discernment I came to the United States to continue my studies for the dioceses of Salt Lake City in Mount Angel Seminary, Oregon. After two years of studies and discernment, I left seminary and went to finish my college, graduating with an Information Systems and Business degree. After some years of experience in the business world, I applied to come back to seminary and study for the Archdiocese of Portland and in April 21, 2006 I was accepted by Archbishop Vlazny as a seminarian for the Archdiocese. He sent me to do my theological studies in Sacred Heart School of Theology in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I was installed in the Ministry of Acolyte on 15 October 2008, admitted to Candidacy for Ordination on 15 April 2009 and received the Order of Deacon on the 23rd day of May 2009. On June 5th , 2010 I was ordained to the priesthood by Archbishop Vlazny in the Cathedral of the immaculate Conception in Portland, Oregon. I was assigned to the Immaculate Conception Parish in Stayton, Our Lady of Lourdes Church in and St Catherine of Siena Mission Church as parochial vicar and in July 1st , 2012 I was appointed administrator of St. Peter Church in Portland. On July 1, 2014, Archbishop Sample appointed me as pastor of St Peter Church for a six-year-term. Thank you to each one of you for accepting me, loving me and embracing me as your priest, pastor and friend in Christ. May we be able to continue to serve the Lord together for many more years to come. 


Mi Aniversario: Hoy estoy celebrando mi sexto aniversario de ordenación sacerdotal y quiero compartir con ustedes algunas fechas especiales. Todo empezó con mi nacimiento el 14 de Abril de 1970 y continúe con mi bautismo el 6 de Julio de 1970. Después de mi graduación de secundaria en 1989 entre al seminario en Colombia y en 1990 vine a estudiar para Salt Lake City en Monte Ángel. En 1992 me retire y estudie negocios y después de muchos anos de trabajo en diferentes empresas regrese al seminario en 2006. Fui al Sagrado Corazón Seminario en Milwaukee, Wisconsin para mis estudios y en 23 de Mayo del 2009 fui ordenado diacono y sacerdote el 5 de Junio del 2010. Estuve dos año en Stayton y en el 2012 llegue a San Pedro y en el 2014 fui nombrado párroco por seis anos. Mil gracias por aceptarme como su sacerdote, párroco y amigo en Cristo.
