In this Level, young children are developmentally ready and excited to form a relationship with Jesus, the Good Shepherd, who calls them by name. Materials on the Life of Jesus and His teachings help make the mystery of God concrete for the child. Also, the child becomes acquainted with the Liturgy through gestures and arranging realistic articles that are used at Mass.
Children of this age are deeply connected to God and they can easily fall in love with Jesus and begin a lifelong relationship with Him.

I grew up in Northern California and moved to Oregon to attend Lewis & Clark College where I obtained my degree in Art History and Religious Studies. There I met my husband and upon graduation we went through RCIA together and were brought into the Church and married shortly after in 2011.
I fell in love with the Catechesis of the Good Sheperd when the youngest of our five children began attending an atrium in 2019. Since then, I have been trained as a Level l Catechist and am passionate about incorporating the teachings and wisdom of Montessori, Cavalletti and Gobbi into both our home and parish life. I feel so blessed to be able to love and learn about our Lord alongside all these amazing and wonderful children.
