The Parish Bazaar is a free event on the second weekend of November. It is the biggest fundraiser held by our parish.
The annual Parish Bazaar is a time of community and service working together in support of parish operation and social outreach. Volunteers work for months ahead of time to solicit donations for the silent auction, create beautiful gift baskets for the raffle, and receive donated items for the sale. Menus are planned and food is purchased, all for the Parish Bazaar.
New and lightly used items are collected in late October in preparation for the bazaar.
Furniture, tools, sports apparatus, clothing, and household goods are carefully screened for best value. Smaller items are gathered together to create themed baskets for the raffle.
Integral to the event is the delicious homemade baked goods offered for sale. Parishioners bake their favorite holiday specialties packaged in delightful plates, just ready to be purchased. Donations of baked goods is always needed.
Parishioners also donate fully assembled baskets used in the bazaar. They have fun as a family collecting items that people will find fun and or useful. Basket themes have included: baking, gardening, sports, fix-it, men’s toiletries, women’s beauty…. Use your imagination to create one! All donations are accepted.
Food is available both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday menu includes homemade soup and sandwiches. Sunday offers pozٞole and other Mexican food. Sunday afternoon also offers activities for the children, such as face painting, cake walk, and crafts.
The Parish Bazaar is coordinated by Barbara Pavlicek. If you have questions or donation items, call her at 503-771-0020.
